I recently Inaugurated traffic signals at Porvorim bazaar junction and Teen Building junction.
We have installed a total of 4 signals on the Porvorim stretch of National Highway 17 to increase the convenience of Porvorkars and for pedestrian safety. Porvorim has become the first constituency in the entire state to enable smooth regulation of traffic on the highway with no monetary support from the government.
The signals are being followed by the motorists and the compliance rate is high because it addresses a genuine need of the people. As I have repeatedly said, Inclusive Development is my mantra for change in Porvorim.
The Red, Yellow and Green is the other tricolor that the people respect.
Where there is will, there is a way. Its the lack of political will and apathy that has resulted in bad road conditions.
