ROHAN, is the son of Mrs. Sunanda & Late Shri. Ashok Khaunte. He is married and blessed with a son and a daughter.
ROHAN, is an Electronic Engineer and has various Business Interests in the State, under the style of “GROUP SHIV SAMARTH” , employing over 200 local youth. His vision and achievements in business, earned him the “YOUNG ENTREPRENUER AWARD” at the hands of the Governor or Goa, Shri. Kidarnath Sahay in the year 2003. ROHAN has been a sports lover having himself represented the State of Goa in the field of Cricket and Basketball.
ROHAN, a resident of Socorro, presently elected as the Chairman of “PORVORIM YUVA WELFARE TRUST” which is a Trust formed by a Group of Like-minded Individuals from Porvorim, both old and young with a Vision for DEVELOPMENT of the Newly formed PORVORIM CONSTITUENCY.
ROHAN, with his team, for over 3 years has taken the uphill task of attaining better standards for living for the people of Porvorim, implementing new ideas for the youth, Conducting various Cleanliness and Plastic Awareness Drives, Empowering Women by creating Self–help groups to make them Self Sustainable, Helping farmers through latest mechanized equipment’s to get better Yield for their efforts, and various other activities.
ROHAN, is the IDEAL FACE FOR A CHANGE AND DEVELOPMENT of PORVORIM, and can surely say that His Vision, Humility and Positive Attitude can make PORVORIM a MODEL constituency for others to follow.
